Tracy Carson

B.A. in Mathematics, minor in education from University at Buffalo
M.A. in Mathematics Adolescent Education (grades 5-12)
Professionally Certified to Teach Mathematics in grades 7-12

Tracy has taught at the middle and high school level in Western New York for the past 10 years where she worked extensively in an inclusion setting for Math. This experience has taught her that a key to teaching is seeing students first as individuals with strengths and talents and then to focus on where she can make a difference. Here at Test Preps, the small teacher to student ratio allows her to do just that! Tracy prioritizes getting to know each student and then tailoring the strategies and tactics for each test to meet the different needs of each learner. In between mothering two young children and tutoring, Tracy enjoys attending concerts, being with family and selling Norwex!

Aaron Eastlack

B.S. Education – Buffalo State College
MS Ed. Reading and Literacy – Walden University
New York and South Carolina State Certified Teacher

When he’s not running digital marketing campaigns for his clients, Aaron enjoys collaborating with the rest of the Test Preps team to help students achieve their college goals. With a background in teaching (here in Western New York and in South Carolina), Aaron is always ready to challenge his students to improve a little bit every day. Although English is not flashy on the surface, Aaron likes uncovering the minute characteristics of sentences which could mean the difference between a correct answer and a guess.

Aaron keeps busy volunteering in the community but spends as much time as possible with his wife, daughter, and a dog they’ve nicknamed “White Lightning.”

Christine Hill

B.A. Literature – SUNY Geneseo
Ed.M English Education – University at Buffalo
New York State Permanent Certification in English/Language Arts

After 14 wonderful years at home to raise 3 young daughters, Chris has recently returned to teaching high school English and some of her favorite works of literature: To Kill and Mockingbird and Shakespeare’s plays. Test Preps has been an ideal fit for her since she has always loved the challenge and discipline of Math, even as an ELA teacher. “Both math and the language arts require creativity and logic so I teach my students how to apply similar strategies for solving math problems and understanding reading passages. The two disciplines can actually help one another make more sense!’

Outside of the classroom, Chris is an avid sports enthusiast and earned her youth soccer coaching license. She enjoys cheering on her favorite teams: AS Roma, the NY Knicks, the Bills and the Steelers. You may see her at the YMCA with her family or at Starbucks debating sports or current events over a friendly cup of joe!

Erin Kausner

B.S. Education – SUNY College at Buffalo
Professionally Certified Teacher

Erin spent the first five years out of college teaching in Hawaii, leading one of the school’s first inclusion classrooms. She also mentored college-level students, modeling lessons and guiding their first attempts at their own instruction. As a full-time tutor with Test Preps for the past 11 years, Erin focuses on all the details while working to build a student’s self-confidence as they make measured steps towards their goals. She would tell you that she loves helping students navigate the college testing process and be able to apply to schools they may have only dreamed of.

When she’s not teaching, Erin is a mom to six busy kids! Free time is limited but she tries to find an hour or two for volleyball, a work out at the gym or a Bills game. Erin would love for Joanna Gaines to re-decorate her entire house.

As a Mom of two college athletes, Leslie understands the rigors that balancing school and sports entails and helps students find ways to manage their work load while still participating fully in something that they are passionate about.

If you’re out in the community, you might catch Leslie running with her 2 dogs. She also enjoys travel, cooking, gardening and supporting Buffalo sports teams. Let’s go Sabres!
